States & Territories

Reminders and remnants of the British Raj era there is a lot to do in this little state.

Home of the possible is Uttarakhand, incorporating high hills, holy rivers, and Ashrams. Covered in rolling forest hills, capped in white 6000m peaks, waterfalls, lakes and glaciers, this little state in India is not wanting for natural beauty.

Jammu and Kashmir so close together and yet a world apart from each other.

On the edge of the plains swelters Jammu, past unending mountains at what could be mistaken for the end of the world; Head inland through Jammu, into the untamable mountains, with its insanely high peaks and its yetis and you will come to somewhere that is carved out of a different stone, visually different, culturally different- Kashmir Valley.

Would anyone expect the Dalai Lama to live somewhere that wasn’t naturally beautiful?

The absolute beauty of Himachal Pradesh is mind-blowing. Home to Buddhist monasteries, forested valleys, and intense but accessible mountain passes, Himachal Pradesh is regarded as India’s most premier mountain states. Himachal Pradesh was also known as Deva Bhumi which translates to the land of the gods.
