Founded in 1947 Tuensang is the largest district in Nagaland and borders with Myanmar.

Founded for the purposes of administering the north eastern frontier agency which comprised of Tuensang, Mon, Longleng and Kiphire districts.  These days they have combined to be known as eastern Nagaland.

This sprawling hill station was the capital of British Assam from 1874 until 1972 and since independence has developed in leaps and bounds into a typical and modern Indian town.  Most refreshingly the town has retained its charm and cool.

A country with as huge an area and population as India, it wouldn't be a surprise to find more than one diverse city or state that could represent India.  If a list of cities were put together, Guwahati would definitely be a part of that list.
