Rajasthan is an incredibly apt and simply stated name that means “the land of kings”.

Rajasthan is home to a rich, romantic past that hurries forth in its stunning forts and resplendent palaces. The ruins here have been restored to their former glory and have sold Rajasthan as an iconic Indian region that must not be missed.  There is so much here in Rajasthan that deserves to be mentioned.

Maharashtra is home to unspoiled green forests which line the Konkan coast setting a nice contrast to the dry Indian heartland. 

With enough astonishing destinations here to satisfy the most demanding of tourists there will not be many that leave this state disappointed.  The beaches are relaxed, the mountains stunning, the forests are seemingly untouched and wild and the history here is pure magic.  In fact at times Maharashtra can be intimidating and overwhelming, a great place to spend your holiday.

Gujarat is considered to this day to be a hidden gem for tourists. 

While it is easy to plan to stop here, between Mumbai and Rajasthan many people don’t.  There is much to do both on and off the beaten track, and it is well worth visiting with the minimal tourists being just another added bonus here.

Explore the former Portuguese colonies Daman and Dui, coastal enclaves that whisper sweetly of their past.

Situated on the coast against the Arabian Sea are Daman and Diu, which have been contributing to the rich history of the area for the past 450 years and more.  Part of Portuguese India they were incorporated into the republic of India in 1961.

Less that 500sq km in size just means that you shouldn’t underestimate this union territory.

Surrounded by gorgeous tall stands of trees, meandering rivers that entice, rich tribal culture, and truly beautifully mannered people who are both hospitable and kind there is not much in this tiny area that people won’t enjoy.
