OotyMost who visit India love the place, and call it Queen of hill stations.
Ooty was one place that changed the minds of the British, and this happened way back during the British colonization. The British at that time claimed plots for their own, built houses and lived in the village for several generations. This is why the area of Ooty developed quickly, as it was the preferred dwelling of the British. | |
Periyar Wildlife SanctuaryWildlife is best experienced up close, and not through the bars of a cage.
People think that bars and cages protect the people from danger while allowing them to witness life in the wild. Although the first part might be correct, the second is inaccurate as the cages also hinder the movement and behavior of the animals. To see them in their natural habitat is the only right way. |
