The old and famous Silk Road passes Nubra Valley. Some great merchant villages developed here during that period, and those places are still working today. Tourism in Nubra Valley

The best visiting season is from June till August. This is because of the harsh winters in the Ladakh region. For passionate tourists, a winter tour is also recommended. However, you should take great care during this period as the temperatures could easily go much less than 0 degrees Celsius.

The itinerary in the Nubra Valley will start from the capital of the area, Diskit. The package tour should include a visit in the Shyok-side valley; a desert area situated eight hours away. You will need plenty of water while you are travelling there, as you will pass the mountains at an altitude of 2000 meters. Once you will get to Pulu, a military outpost, your permits will be checked and you will have to provide some additional details. Don’t worry, as the locals are friendly towards tourists. You will be surrounded by the imposing Himalaya, and you will have to climb some cutting edge cliffs and mountains.
