Srinagar holds the keys to both relaxation and exploration.   While here there is plenty to see and do from the usual adventure sports that seem to go hand in hand with this region of India to the local highlights.

The houseboats that can be found in Srinagar were originally introduced accidentally to Kashmir, but however they got here there are now over 500 that live on Dal Lake.  It is important to remember that when booking a trip on a house boat in Srinagar to always do so from the city itself as there have been several scams set up out of the city that have caused tourists to not get what they wanted when they arrive.  When booking within the city always remember to make sure you are very clear on what the price of your house boat includes.
