How do I travel around Hyderabad?

The most common ways of getting around are Auto-rickshaws, taxis, shuttles, trains, cars and by foot.  Some of the suburbs are a little far spread to walk on foot however it can be very interesting once in the area you want to travel by foot and discover the hidden surprises this city has to offer.  The taxis are not able to be hailed from the road side but instead you need to place a call to the centralised call centre, be warned that at times demand far outweighs supply and this may be difficult to acquire at times. Always be careful with auto rickshaw drivers.  If you can get a metered far do so.  If not make sure to be very clear on the price before you set off.
