Take a holy tour to Dwaraka, a historic and religious city for a holiday of peace and spirituality.

Built on the Gamut creek’s right bank, Dwarka is one of India’s four holy pilgrimage cities of Hinduism. The present city is said to be the seventh city built in that region, with the earlier six cities having been submerged into the sea. This place is an excellent travel destination if you are looking for a holiday with a difference.

History in Dwarka

This pilgrimage centre of importance has many legends associated with it, as it is blended with the life of Lord Krishna. The present temple that is at this place, Dwarakanath, is believed to have been erected by a supernatural force in just one night, under the direction of Lord Krishna’s great grandson, Vajranabh. It is also believed that the sea has swallowed this city six times, and the present city is the seventh one.
